     Award winning nature photographer, Ellie Tyler hails from Altoona, Pennsylvania where she cultivated a special appreciation and respect for the power and mystery of the natural world.  It is not surprising that her images reveal this attitude. 
     Ellie’s images reveal a simplicity of line, boldness of color and a strong sense of harmony.  These qualities have become her “signature.”
     She is inspired by the clean, bold lines and light of the southwestern landscape.  Over the last several years, she has turned her attention to making images that reflect this unique environment.
     Most of Ellie’s work is created in the early morning or late afternoon hours when the light in this region is at its most dynamic.
