Combining traditional film methods with digital photography, Chris Nelson uses contrasting imagery and light values to reveal a fresh edge in everyday places.

"The images are less about capturing the 'real world' than about creating an interesting image." explains Nelson.

Chris holds masters degrees in creative writing and English literature from the University of California, Irvine and is coordinator of the Academic Skills Center at College of the Desert.
